Game and Tools Developer at King via Netlight

Employed as a consultant at Netlight with an assignment at King.

I was part of the tech and tools teams in Core Gameplay area, where we built all tools in the complete level lifecycle: planning, creation, release and refine. Key projects I was involved in was LevelApi, a modern level delivery system with support for tweaks and AB-tests; Playtest and Tweaking AI, a system to estimate difficulty and automatically tweak existing levels to desired difficulty; New Level Editor, a next generation level editor built for offline-first use, collaborative "multiplayer" for multi user level design, built-in lightweight game client compiled via WebAssembly.

2021–2023

Backend Developer at Mojang via Netlight

Employed as a consultant at Netlight with an assignment at Mojang.

I was part of the Java Game Services team in Mojang, that supplied the core services used by Minecraft: Java Edition. Being the world's best selling game, the services needed to be performant to handle high load, not only for legitimate traffic, but also a range of DDoS attacks. At Mojang, I helped with their Xbox integration and I helped to design and implement the secure chat reporting system, that combines cryptography and graph theory to ensure integrity of reports in Minecraft's distributed server architecture.

2020–2021

Fullstack Developer at Klarna via Netlight

Employed as a consultant at Netlight with an assignment at Klarna.

At Klarna, I was a fullstack developer at their rewards club—Vibe—where you unlocked gift cards as you purchase with Klarna. Using data-driven development, supporting over 1.5 million users with different app versions, we have delivered incremental improvements to the rewards program, Klarna and Klarnas customers.

2018–2020

From employed at Precisit AB with different in-house projects, mostly in the role as a fullstack game developer.

2016–2019

Fullstack Developer at ICC Media & Sport

Fullstack developer at ICC Media & Sport where I helped with feature development and maintenance.

In one project I re-engineered one of their core web services to increase performance and availability during higher system loads.

Education

Master's Programme in Computer and Information Engineering

Studied the Master's Programme in Computer and Information Engineering at Uppsala University, with a specialisation in software development. Grade average: 4.68 / 5.

Specialisation in software development, the focus was project methodology and processes, with the goal of answering the question of ‘what are the critical success factors for a software development project?’

My master's project investigated memory efficient conflict-free replicated data types in a peer-to-peer distributed system on the Web, which are data types that can be used to enable collaborative experiences.
